Through this all, I can only say: Sec 4 Guides, I love you more than ever. It doesn't matter if they don't see it, it doesn't matter if they hate it, hate us. Even if we didn't do it well, we did what we could, and that's probably all that matters. No matter what they say/said, there's no need for us to be ashamed of ourselves or to feel defeated because we slogged our shits out for this and if they didn't see it, then, forget it. Since last thursday( a day before cross country), I have broken away from my routine of coming home and doing homework homework homework, sleeping at 12. And now, I have this very uneasy/empty/nagging feeling because ever since, I've been coming home and slacking/stoning/playing/doing nothing/wasting life away/enjoying since it's ze special week. Miss school(lessons) and dread it at the same time.

Now that the special slack week(probably one of the last in the coming months) is near over, I'm sad + scared. From next week on, 2 SPAs, Ct starts and then march holidays chiong all the way for CT again. Pray that I will get back on track once school starts next Monday if not I'm potentially screwed. I fuel.

Ok this is going to be a bore but I just feel the need to say it.

Today is a silly day. Just silly. Today is a laugh/cry day but more inclined to a "cry day". NE Quiz, Emath test, Chemistry Skill 3 Mock test, English Mock Paper 2, SS the horror mock paper SEQ.

Naturally SS was more worrying because I only studied 2 out of the 4 parts in chapter 1. And the day got by with everyone saying different things about what was going to come out. So I tried to cram the other 2 unstudied parts as much as possible and lo and behold.....

The 4th part of the chapter was a neglected little child. 3rd seemed much more of a big deal than 4th. Or so Dian and I thought. Along with Nisa and momoz. Then we were started high fiving for not studying no.4:

"Eh I didn't study 4th"
"High five!!"
"Eh ok don't study that one la won't come out."
"Ok we study impacts? The links ah." etc etc

And then we thought:
"What if 4th come out ah???"
"Don't say la don't scare me."
" I think I will leave blank."
"... Silence."
"Ok nvm let's do the part 3 la hor!" (self-pyschoing in progress)

"MUST MUST MUST!!!!" Dian and I chanted.

Upon receiving the question paper...
I think my first reaction was: Mouth agape, wide open staring like a big idiot. 2nd, wanted to laugh. Just laugh. At how screwed I was going to be for the next 25 minutes. 3rd, turned around passed question paper to Nisa and smiled at her. Helpless smile. Bobian smile. Howomgdiealready smile. Whatthehellamigoingtowrite??? smile.

First time for an SS paper, I was more concerned about writing in the best handwriting I could manage, taking my time wondering how I was going to cook up my own version of managing terrorism which obviously I don't really spend time to think(or care) about at all. So I just crapped and crapped and crapped and crapped and manipulated part 3 to fit into part 4. First time I wanted the 25 minutes to end as soon as I had the question paper in my hands. And I was dying to find out the reaction from my comrades also known as those-as-screwed-as-i-was. After the paper, I just wanted to laugh. LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH LAUGH.

I think I'm making quite a big deal out of this but moral of this tragic/amusing story is: Chillax~ No la kidding. Don't be stupid. Don't try to deceive yourself cause it's not going to work. Whatever you don't expect, will come slamming right in your face.

First time I'm going to score 0,1,2 or 3 in SS SEQ... A significant moment in mai lyfe... Die la gonna be suaned by ss teacher SIA!

Flag day was not as fruitful as I thought it would have been and quite boring too. Wasted like 4 out of the 5 hours waiting, travelling, walking. But considering how the can was half-filled in a mere one hour, I think not bad la. I bet if we were given another 1 hour plus the can would have been overflowing with coins.

Yay haha we were total losers - Walked most of it while sightseeing, taking many pictures, bothering people at checkpoints, ran less than 200m I bet which defeats the whole purpose of having cross country haha. But what counts is that we had lots of fun woohoo!! After cross country crashed Peiqi's house for movie marathon -

was really good! Don't mind watching it a second time. Even the soundtracks for the movie were nice! haha.

Dev Patel is cute, not cute. But Freida is definitely damn pretty! Girls own. The little kids in the show were so adorable too!!

Changeling was cool but I didn't understand probably the first half of the movie (blame yishang and her disc! HAHA kidding la love you yishang for all the movies!!)and only did at the last few parts.

Printers must have been my nemesis in my past life.. Everytime I attempt to print something, it purposely infuriates me by refusing to OBEY ME AND PRINT or some other weird thing that crops up. Urgh and I just waste one hour of my life trying to print ONE SHEET OF PAPER. Stupid printers. If I were meaner I really would have just smashed it to the ground, kicked it or crushed it with my hands(physically impossible but still.)

All I have to say about CNY this year is - pathetically short. More hongbao money even though it's recession but lost approx. 10 bucks at black jack T_T. And I only did one day of visiting. One day. The other day I was trying to settle school stuff. So, I didn't even feel it was chinese new year.

This week I broke my #1 law of schooling: to sleep at 12 every night. Ok weekends are for salvation，so I'm going to make sure my school life next week rocks the whole school. And I realised something - I wake up in the morning dragging myself out of bed and all, worrying cause there's tests and undone homework that day, and thinking if I should just play dead act sick lie in bed(holy shit rhymes) and pon school. But when I get to school, there's just alot of things that I actually, unknowingly, enjoy, be it lessons, people around me, shouting hi to all our teachers. Then I feel, school's worth coming for. So yeah. Woohoo for that. ; ) TGIF, but I look forward to monday too.

I LOVE 4G1.

Am posting before the excitement/happiness wears off!! We won cny deco yeshhhhhhhh. The staying back till late 6 and going to school at early 6+ paid off. Initially the deco was quite a screw up and I thought bla class and bla class had better decos but miraculously, we managed to pull it off in the end. (And no bragging la but I think the decos are really quite pretty plus our vulgar altar) YES!!!!!!! Good job us! (especially Jiayue and Trixy!) And we got 2 gotchas today HA. We are recognized for being crazy and ultra kiasu??????

So we had a few free periods here and there so while touching up on the decos, we took quite alot of pictures, did re-enacments of scenes(Omg so vulgar!) haha. School is happy! Love school for now. Stay that wayyyyyy ok. And I think we're all adjusting to our teachers quite well already but of course still miss some from last year.

January is ending. Madness. Before anyone knows Feb will end, March will end, June July August bla bla and the year will end. So, better cherish time. Time waits for no man wow i am so cheem.

I felt defeated at the first day of school. First day of school all the teachers asked us to hand in homework i was speechless shocked and whatnot because I thought or, assumed:

1) no teacher in the right mind would ask us to hand in homework on first day of school right.
2) all my classmates will be like me.. Lazy.
Turns out I was the only one not bringing almost anything so i was kind of demoralised.. And the 4 JI 1 timetable is quite WHOO and BOO. (WH + B)OO

I have officially indentified my favourite school days!! And we end at 1.30 on 3 days so miraculous because in sec 3 we never ended that early!! Downside of course, 3pm on 2 days. I feel the weight of school already because its only the first weekend of school and I already have a full paged to-do list.

Tomorrow will be the last first day of school at Crescent. I can still remember the very first first day as a Sec one and Sec Fours just seemed so BIG and maybe a little scary. So that's how we may be seen.

Completely shagged, but am still doing this post because it's the first post of the first day of a new 2009!

The last few hours of 2008 was spent er.. gorging and stuffing food in our faces at seoulgarden!! And the last 1 hr and 50 minutes was a bore at Esplanade because everyone around us was anti-climax and we didn't know where to go and there were many Bs a bit intimidating. But there were two very heartwarming sights!

1) There was this couple and the boyfriend was carrying a bunch of really colourful ballons about 7 -8 probably for the girlfriend. And then this dad carrying his daughter went to him and asked if he could have a balloon for his daughter. Awww. So the couple gave away the balloons to that dad and then to another bunch of small kids! Aww again.
2) This small boy was crying and eehwee thought he was laughing HAHA. Then there was a couple near that small boy and they figured out that he was actually lost! So the lady held the small boy by the hand. :)

Back to story, fortunately.. The last few seconds of the year were quite a blast because we found ourselves in the middle of a big enthusiastic crowd(surprise. That's really the best thing because the energy level is high and even if your mood is sour like sourgrapes you'll naturally be infected with a natural high by the infectious crowd. Haha!!), counting down 5 4 3 2 1 to 2009 while screaming, and with fireworks exploding in our faces!!( Ok a bit exaggerated but it was really very close!!!) Worth the wait. Everyone just suddenly headed in a particular direction and we went with the flow and yea, managed to get such a great view! So 2009 started quite joyously because everyone was just there, silently and noisily, admiring the pretty fireworks for about 5 minutes. And you could sense people just radiating "Happy!!" and all united to celebrate. Haha after the crowd more or less dispersed, people started shouting Happy new year to strangers and so did we a couple of times! So happy right. It's quite rare that the atmosphere is just so pleasant/light-hearted and strangers all around are just celebrating a newwwwwwww beginning together.

So, Happy 2009 world! Cheers to Earth's new orbit.

New years are definitely worth counting down to. More than birthdays, more than Christmas, more than anything else. A new year, fresh & clean!

This being the last day of 2008( inserts sniffles), I shall do some. Soul searching HAHAHA. Not. Anyway bah it just dawned on me how things are going to change this friday. Part of me keeps thinking you know, no change from 3G1 08, except that we're sec 4 and lots of hard work will have to be involved. (Mentally prepared already)
But drumroll.. The truth is: the location of 4G1 will be near a stinking toilet, almost all our teachers are definitely going to change. It may seem like very minor differences but that just changes a rather major part of my school lifestyle : ( I'm getting the jitters now.

Holidays ending. Again. It always ends. Baaaaaaah. Everything that I set to accomplish this Dec, none done. And how many days to school? Scream, 10 days!!! (Goodbye to sleeping late, waking up late, idling around all day doing whatever you please) Homework not completely done - English, Emath, Hcl left. I am so glad that everything this week - Polly9 WWW, Cycling @ East coast, Orientation Dance Practice - is postponed to next week!!!!!! Sadly still, the amount of workload is the same as before. Dead meatball. Initially planned to finish all of it by the end of november( Now damn impossible already), but I guess i'm gonna cut myself some slack. :)

Final deadline: 7 December.

Anyway, had class outing this monday. It was much better than I expected! The bbq was ultra fun/funny. Blog with pictures next time.

Chinese Olevels was relatively okay. Everything seemed so normal, yet surreal at the same time. I can't believe I just took an O'LEVEL paper cause it felt just like final year exams. Hopefully, all the higher chinese students get promoted to Sec 4 hcl! Sec 4 Chinese Olevel Paper October/November 2008, fresh from the Cambridge oven.

So, today marks the start of our real holidays and partial liberation(exclude the fact that there'll still be CCA don't want to burst my bubble of bliss) Now that there is nothing to study for, I don't know what to do.

Results back, overall ok. Due to stupidity, carelessness and momentary blindness, some regrets in papers here and there. Taking risks, spotting questions, latenight crash course, proved to be ok for a few papers!!! Very glad for some.

This week has been WOOHOOOOOOOOOO, (injected with quite a bit of drama jengjeng). Alot of fun! The fusion dance, bimbo cheerleading during interclass games, made me appreciate 3g1 more.

Yeepee. All the papers so far aren't too bad, no major screw ups. YET. So phew. But shit, next week's papers are the crucial ones! And I have yet to study for Geog, Chem, Physics, Amath. Not at all. Only one of geog, one of chem, none for physics.

100m Butterfly Finals

Phelps said Cavic's words before the race fueled him. -"What really fired me up beforehand, you know, Cavic said it'd be good for swimming and good for me if he won. And that fired me up more than anything."

Phelps, who was seventh out of eight swimmers at the first wall but made up ground with his turn, still looked to be behind Cavic in the final meters. It was so scary because for once, I honestly feared and thought, Phelps wouldn't clinch a Gold.

The last few meters were so intense( Heart was pounding, was stamping feet on ground, chanting go Phelps go Phelps) because Phelps (left)was still behind Cavic (right)

Once again, he never fails to triumph! Touched home a mere 0.01 second before Cavic. Almost died of heart attack. It was too crazy a race.

US Team Clocked a stunning world record of 658.56 secs to smash previous record of 703.24! When anchor swimmer of US team touched home, the rest were still like 1-2 m away!! IMPRESSIVE.

Small wonder one of his friends sent him a cheeky text message after seeing Phelps step onto the podium for the tenth time: "Dude, how many times a day do I have to see your ugly face?"

The Australians touched the wall in a time of 7min 44.31sec, slicing 5.78 off the previous best time.

Missed watching all these finals live because of common tests :(

After finishing the last paper today, all the Olympic enthusiasts in G1 wanted so badly to watch 200m IM Men's finals live!! So we managed to set up the tablet and when the Olympics (Swimming) played on the web, we started screaming&cheering HAHA.

Then we requested to watch the Finals for IM during lessons : o Watching it live is really, far better than watching replays.

Expedition Cycle To Changi.

Major success yaw. LumpYishang and I cycled for about 18km(or more, I believe) from East Coast Park to the starting point of Changi to mid of Changi Beach Park. Approximately 3 hours or a tad more. We beat an angmoh ah pek. ^^ He's pretty good though!!!
Fair iz foul and foul iz fair. Wait for the pictures. They speak for our expedition. Concrete evidence!!

TGIF TGIF TGIF.
I am in need of this weekend to turn my whole school life around. 2/3 tests today was -.
3, 1, 12, 12, 1 sleeping times. Buck up, buck up. Vicious cycle for the entire week, mass sleeping session in class, demoralising chem and physics. This week was a mix of everything - messed up shat, but new friends and best things like TODAY(:D).
